Damu the Fudgemunk

This is why Youtube is so fantastic.  As I was searching around for beat makers on the M.P.C  i came across this dude named Damu the Fudgemunk, who I think is from New York. He's got that raw hip hop sound that defined true hip hop in the 1990s.

Check out the second video, from  0:00 to 7:18 these guys simply perform lyrical homicide on the mic !!  Pure DOPENESS !!!!!!  " I switch up styles like the colors on a prisim shift" im sayin.. do you think Lil wanye could ever even think of sayin some shit like that ?

Murs and 9th Wonder - The Epitome of Hip Hop

This is the greatest album to come along since Nas' Illmatic! Yeah I said it! Because it's an album of context. He ain't talking a bunch of bullshit. For example in one of his songs, titled, Asians girls, he's talking about the beauty of the women from Tonga to Korea and everything in between. Now when's the last time anybody's giving Asian girls any props in Hip Hop?

One of the tightest songs is called "The lick" and it's about how the liquor store is the best thing in the 'hood!!

The icing on the cake for this album is the song "I used to love her-again". He remakes Common's "I used to love her" but from West Coast perspective. Personally, I think it's better than the original. (Not to take anything away from Common).

In my Hip Hop book, Murs and 9th Wonder get Five Stars, hands down!!
They should get a "hip hop grammy"!!
